Levels of League Play3 YEAR OLDS
Are not eligible for Little League
4 & 5 YEAR OLDS
All four and five year olds will be placed in
T-BallOption – A five year old may request an assignment to
Farm-AA if the player is in 1st grade (report card required)
6 YEAR OLDS
All six year olds will be placed in
Farm-AAOption – A parent may request an assignment to the
T-Ball level if the player has had no prior experience or there is a safety concern
7 YEAR OLDS
All seven year olds will be placed in
Farm-AAOption – A parent may request an assignment to
Farm-AAA if the player is in 3rd grade (report card required)
8 YEAR OLDS
All eight year olds will be placed in
Farm-AAAOption – A parent may request an assignment to the
Farm-AA level if the player has had no prior experience and there is a safety concern
Option — Parents may request that their player participate in
Minors – The player must showcase with the 9 & 10 year olds
Minor Managers will assess the 8 year old players’ skills and draft the players if their skills merit selection.
Minors team rosters are limited to only one 8 year old each
The 8 year olds who are not selected for the
Minors will be placed in the
Farm-AAA to develop their skills further.
§ NOTE – Parents of 8 year olds should consider the player’s reduced playing time and limited opportunities for development when requesting a move to
Minors. Players are more apt to develop when they are experiencing great success and having fun with their peers, as opposed to matching skills with ten year olds.
9 YEAR OLDS
All nine year olds will showcase and be eligible for the
Minors draft
Minor Managers will assess players’ skills and draft the highest skilled players.
Generally, 30% – 40% of the nine year olds are drafted into the
Minors. The balance of the nine year olds are placed in
Farm-AAA to develop their skills further.
Option — A parent may request an assignment to the
Farm-AAA level for any reason (No showcase is required when the player opts for
Farm-AAA)
10 YEAR OLDS
All ten year olds will showcase and be selected in the
Minors draft
Option — Parents may request that their player participate in
Majors– The player must showcase with the 11 & 12 year olds
Major Managers will assess the 10 year old players’ skills and draft the players if their skills merit selection.
Major team rosters are limited to only one 10 year old each
The 10 year olds who are not selected for the
Majors will be placed in the
Minors to develop their skills further.
NOTE – Parents of 10 year olds should consider the player’s reduced playing time and limited opportunities for development when requesting a move to
Majors. Players are more apt to develop when they are experiencing great success and having fun with their peers, as opposed to matching skills with twelve year olds.
11 YEAR OLDS
All eleven year olds will showcase and be eligible for the Major draft
Major Managers will assess players’ skills and draft the highest skilled players.
Generally, 40% – 60% of the eleven year olds are drafted into the
Majors. The balance of the eleven year olds will be placed in the
Minors to develop their skills further.
Option – A parent may request an assignment to the Minor level for any reason, unless the player participated in All-stars during the prior season. NOTE – Eleven year olds are limited to 65 pitches per outing in the
Minors, all other pitching rules apply
12 YEAR OLDS
All twelve year olds will showcase and be selected in the
Majors draft
Option — A parent may request an assignment to the
Juniors level for any reason
Option — A player may participate at the Minor level if:
The parents request the move for safety reasons AND the Player Agent approves the move. NOTE – Twelve year olds are not eligible to pitch in the
Minors13 & 14 YEAR OLDS
All thirteen and fourteen year olds will be placed in
Juniors15 & 16 YEAR OLDS
All fifteen and sixteen year olds will be placed in Seniors, subject to League and District availability
